AZGFD to Discontinue Selling Community Fishing Licenses Jan 1, 2022

The Arizona AZGFD has announced it will no longer offer Community Fishing licenses for sale beginning Jan. 1, 2022. Over roughly the last eight years, the hugely popular Community Fishing Program (CFP) has expanded from 21 waters to 49 waters, which are located in 23 communities throughout the state. Idaho Black's Creek Ammo Amnesty Program Returns

As of  Nov 1, 2021 the “Idaho Ammo Amnesty” program is back at Black’s Creek Public Shooting Range, giving shooters the opportunity to use some types of steel-component ammunition — bimetal or steel-jacketed —that normally are not allowed at the range. Volunteers and Sponsors Needed
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) will host its annual Derelict Crab Trap Rodeo volunteer cleanup events this February.  LDWF encourages volunteers and sponsors to participate in these events to make the crab trap rodeos successful in 2022 and keep our Sportsman’s Paradise pristine. Minnesota 2021 Winter Season Walleye Regulations for Mille Lacs, Upper Red lake

Minnesota Ice anglers on Mille Lacs and Upper Red lakes can harvest walleye on both lakes this winter season.  A four-walleye bag limit, with only one walleye longer than 17 inches allowed, went into effect on Upper Red Lake on Monday, Nov. 1. Oklahoma Quail season will open Nov. 13, 2021, and run through Feb. 15, 2022. Wyoming GFD Confirms CWD Found in New Elk Hunt Areas

The Wyoming GFD has confirmed the presence of chronic wasting disease in three new elk hunt areas in Wyoming. The disease was confirmed from lymph node samples from three hunter-harvested bull elk. In the Pinedale Region, CWD was confirmed in Elk Hunt Area 98. This hunt area overlays Deer Hunt Area 138 where CWD was confirmed in January. Wyoming waterfowl hunters may have noticed the lack of water in ponds at Table Mountain Wildlife Habitat Management Area (WHMA). CDFW Adopts New Recreational Dungeness Crab Fishery Regulations

New regulations adopted by CDFW to restrict the use of crab traps in the beginning and end of the recreational Dungeness crab season due to marine life entanglement risk. The recreational Dungeness crab season is scheduled to open statewide on Saturday, November 6 for all methods of take. However, under the new regulations, the Director has authority to prohibit the use of traps in the fishery to minimize entanglement risk from lines and buoys typically used with trap gear. CDFW Offering 2021-22 Waterfowl Hunts At East Bay Ecological Reserve

California hunters can soon participate in no-fee waterfowl hunts amid restored salt ponds at Eden Landing Ecological Reserve (ELER) in Hayward. Eden Landing waterfowl hunts are unique in that there are no fees charged and hunting is offered on some Tuesdays and Thursdays when other public waterfowl hunting areas are closed.
