Recent razor clam samples indicate the marine biotoxin domoic acid has exceeded the closure limit. Razor clam harvesting is now closed from the Columbia River to the California border. Kansas hunters are urged to remain vigilant to the dangers harmful algal blooms can pose to hunting dogs. Every summer, dogs in Kansas get sick or die from exposure to harmful blue-green algae, but potentially deadly algal blooms can still occur into fall and winter. CWD Found in Northeast Wyoming Elk Hunt Area

CWD was confirmed in Elk Hunt Area 1 with a positive test from a targeted bull elk. Elk Hunt Area 1 is located in the Black Hills and borders Elk Hunt Area 117 where CWD was detected in 2008.
