Minnesota Early-season walleye anglers on Mille Lacs Lake will be able to keep one walleye 21-23 inches long or one longer than 28 inches. Summer will bring catch-and-release walleye fishing, with a mid-season closure, before the potential for a one-fish limit returns in the fall. New Jersey 2021 Spring turkey permits not claimed in the lottery and all other permits go on sale Monday, March 29 at 10:00 a.m. Permits will be available on a first come, first served basis. Permits will be available online and at license agents. The New Jersey Fish and Game Council, the NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife recommended that the 2020-2021 Semi-wild Preserve hunting season Pheasant, Quail & Partridge be extended. New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) recently announced the finalization of new trout stream regulations that will take effect on April 1, 2021, and help improve the management of inland trout streams across the state. The (DEM) announces that Rhode Island trout stocked lakes, ponds, rivers and streams will open for fishing at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7. DEM will be filing an emergency regulation opening the freshwater trout fishing season early this year in order to eliminate the large crowds that often accompany the traditional Opening Day of trout fishing season in April. Wyoming 2021 Spring Turkey Hunting Season Opens in April

There’s a new opening date for Wyoming’s 2021 spring turkey season. Hunters should plan for an April 20 opener in four of the state’s five hunt areas. The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission made this change to align more appropriately the bird’s biology, simplify regulations and increase hunter opportunity.  The exception to the later opener is Hunt Area 3, with a season from April 1 to May 31. AZGFD Leftover 2021 Elk/Pronghorn Hunt Permit-Tags on Sale March 29

AZGFD has posted a list of leftover hunt permit-tags, as well as a printable paper application, on its website. The Ohio Wildlife Council received two updates to the upcoming 2021-22 waterfowl hunting seasons during its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. California Recreational Red Abalone Fishery to Remain Closed Until 2026   CDFW reminds anglers that the northern California recreational red abalone fishery will remain closed until April 1, 2026.
