Ohio Prohibits Quail Hunting on Public Lands with 2 Exceptions

Ohio Reminds upland bird hunters that quail hunting is prohibited on public lands in Ohio, with 2 exceptions: 1. Tri-Valley Wildlife Area (Muskingum Co.)  2. Controlled hunt opportunities at Crown City Wildlife Area (Gallia & Lawrence Cos.). Wyoming Ends 2020 Fall Goat Shoot in Grand Teton 2 Weeks Early

Grand Teton National Park officials in Wyoming ended an effort to kill off the park's nonnative mountain goats for now. Volunteer hunters killed 43 goats over six weeks before an accumulation of snow made hunter safety a concern. Chief Ranger Michael Nash ended the hunt a couple weeks sooner than planned. CDFW Offering 2020-21 Waterfowl Hunts at East Bay Ecological Reserve

Hunters can soon participate in California's no-fee 2020-21 waterfowl hunts amid restored salt ponds at Eden Landing Ecological Reserve (ELER) in Hayward. Eden Landing waterfowl hunts are unique in that there are no fees charged and hunting is offered on some Tuesdays and Thursdays when many public waterfowl hunting areas are closed. These hunts typically produce a two-to-three-bird average per season with northern shoveler and American wigeon being most common taken. LDWF Reminds Migratory Bird Hunters of Mandatory HIP Certification

Louisiana (LDWF) would like to remind all Louisiana migratory bird hunters, including waterfowl hunters, that they must complete the Harvest Information Program (HIP) certification process either online or in person at LDWF headquarters in Baton Rouge.
