Apply for Idaho 2021 Big Game Controlled Hunts by June 5

The application period for Idaho fall 2021 deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, fall black bear and fall turkey controlled hunts begins May 1 and runs through June 5. Hunters with a valid 2021 Idaho hunting license may apply for controlled hunts at any license vendor, Fish and Game office, or with a credit card online or by calling 1-800-554-8685. The Iowa nonresident deer hunting application period is now open. Applications close June 6 at midnight, so get a head start and apply today! ODFW Sets New Bag Limit Reduction for Sport Bottomfish

ODFW as of Monday, May 10, 2021 reduced the general marine bag limit to five fish (from six) per angler per day for sport bottomfish. The sub-bag limit of one China, copper, or quillback rockfish remains in place. IDNR Announces Partial Schedule of 2021-22 Waterfowl Blind Site Drawings

Illinois waterfowl hunters should take note of new procedures for the 2021 waterfowl hunting blind site random drawings to be held at Mississippi River Area SFWA (MRA) and Horseshoe Lake SP. Montana Angler Hooks New State Record Largemouth Bass   A largemouth bass recently pulled from Lake Elmo in Billings Heights, Montana is big enough to be a new state record. The 9.575 lb. fish tops the previous record of 8.8 lb. that has stood since 2009. Montana 2021 Paddlefish Season Opens on Missouri River

This year’s Montana paddlefish seasons kicked off on May 1 with the opening of the Upper Missouri River section from Fort Benton downstream to Fort Peck Dam.
