California 2020 Fall Wild Turkey Season Opens Statewide opens Nov 14 and extends through Dec. 13. Daily Bag Limit is 1 either sex and 2 per season. Nonlead ammunition is required when taking any wildlife with a firearm anywhere in California. Wild turkeys are now present in 54 of 58 counties, with the highest harvest occurring in Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Mendocino, Nevada, San Luis Obispo, Shasta, Tehama, and Yuba counties.
