Nonresidents can participate in Iowa Spring Turkey hunting - Nonresident spring turkey application period is Jan 1 to the last Sunday in January. The application will be available in December. Check availability of available licenses before going online to purchase. OUT OF STATE HUNTERS, FISHERMEN & OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS; Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, there could be limitations for OUT of STATE hunters, fishermen and other outdoor enthusiasts to include a 14-day quarantine requirement or negative COVID-19 testing alternative. Please check with the State's Department of Natural Resources BEFORE you travel or apply for the 2020 Fall Hunts.

As OUR COUNTRY REOPENS AGAIN (from the COVID-19 pandemic) and continue to enjoy outdoor activities, ALL outdoor enthusiasts (man, woman, child) should follow the guidelines set by nps.gov. These guidelines include; social distancing, the Leave No Trace principles, including pack-in and pack-out, to keep outdoor spaces safe and healthy.
Iowa 2020-21 fall turkey hunting season opens Oct 12-Dec 4. Non-Residents are not eligible for Iowa fall turkey hunting licenses.

Resident hunters may purchase up to two licenses online at; https://gooutdoorsiowa.com/. Resident permits cost $28.50.  Note: A $15.00 habitat stamp fee and a general small game hunting license is also required. General small game hunting licenses are $22.00 for residents.

Residents may purchase up to 2 permits (one permit for the youth season for those under 16, or season 1, 2, or 3; and a second permit for season 4. Hunters can view the Fall Turkey Zone Map is also available online.
