Geese:
The Canada goose season in Area 1 ends on January 31; the season is not at the same time as the duck season in all counties and does not start on a Saturday. See page 9.
Swan:
A limited swan season will be offered in 4 counties of the Panahandle Region. See page 12.
Youth and Veterans/Active Military Waterfowl Weekend:
September 26 & 27 statewide. Participation is expanded to include veterans and active military personnel. Check idfg.idaho.gov prior to the hunt for details about Veteran and Active Military Personnel eligibility. See page 7
Sandhill Crane:
The number of crane tags was reduced to accommodate for the reduction in the annual harvest allocation for Idaho, as per the Flyway Management Plan. Two hunts in the Southeast Region have been extended to September 30. See page 14.

COVID-19
As OUR COUNTRY SLOWLY STARTS to REOPEN AGAIN (from the COVID-19 pandemic) and continue to enjoy outdoor activities, ALL outdoorsmen (man, woman, child) should follow the guidelines set by nps.gov. These guidelines include; social distancing, the Leave No Trace principles, including pack-in and pack-out, to keep outdoor spaces safe and healthy.
Idaho Sets 2020-21 Migratory Game Bird Hunting Seasons & Regulations

The Idaho migratory game bird hunting brochure for 2019 and 2020 seasons is now available online on Fish and Game's website. This brochure contains seasons and rules information for waterfowl (ducks and geese) and also includes information for doves, crow, and sandhill crane.
The 2020-21 brochure will be available in print at license vendors and Fish and Game offices by early August.

Ducks:
Reduced daily bag limit from 3 to 2 scaup. Seasons in Area 1 end on January 31; the season does not start on a Saturday. See page 8.
